Shopify Online Store 2.0 migration
On a vintage theme, most of your store is locked in code. I move you to Online Store 2.0, so you can build and change any page with sections and blocks, without losing your content, SEO or sales.

The problem
If your theme dates from before Online Store 2.0 launched in 2021, it's probably a vintage theme. You feel it day to day.
Outside the home page, layouts are hard-coded. A new banner on a product page or a section on a collection means editing code.
On vintage themes, apps inject code straight into your theme files. It's fragile, it slows the store down, and it stays behind when you uninstall.
Every product page looks the same. A launch page or a different layout for one collection means custom development.
Shopify builds its new theme features for Online Store 2.0. A vintage theme gets little or none of them.
Online Store 2.0
Add, remove and reorder sections on product, collection and content pages, right in the theme editor.
Apps plug in as blocks you place and remove in the editor. No code injected into your theme, nothing left behind.
A dedicated layout for a hero product, a collection or a campaign page, assigned in two clicks.
Size guides, ingredients, specs: show them from your product data instead of hard-coding them.
Current Online Store 2.0 themes are built with performance in mind and keep getting updates.
What I do
Nothing lost
Products, collections, customers and orders live in Shopify, not in your theme, so they don't move. What does live in the theme (home page content, banners, custom sections) I list and rebuild one by one.
Shopify URLs don't depend on the theme, so they stay the same. I check meta titles, descriptions, structured data and headings on key pages, and add 301 redirects if any URL changes.
The new theme is built and tested unpublished, next to your live one. Launch is a single publish at a quiet time, and your old theme stays in your library as a fallback.
Pixels, reviews, subscriptions, upsells: each app is reconnected and tested before launch.
How it works
Send your store URL. I look at your theme, apps and customisations, and tell you whether a Theme Switch or a Custom Rebuild fits.
A fixed price, a clear scope and a launch date, before any work starts.
I build on an unpublished theme. Your live store doesn't change until launch day.
After launch: what moved, what was rebuilt, speed scores before and after, and the list of checks done.

FAQ
No. I build the new theme without publishing it. Your current store runs as usual until launch, which is one click on “Publish”.
Your product, collection and page URLs stay the same, and I check titles, descriptions and structured data before launch. No migration can promise rankings never move, but keeping URLs, content and metadata intact removes the usual causes of a drop.
Most current apps support Online Store 2.0 through app blocks. I reconnect and test each one. If an app doesn't, I tell you in the audit and suggest an alternative.
Usually 2 to 3 weeks for a Theme Switch and 4 to 8 weeks for a Custom Rebuild. Your quote sets a launch date.
It stays in your theme library, untouched. If anything goes wrong after launch, republishing it takes a minute.
I fix anything related to the migration for {POST_LAUNCH_SUPPORT} after launch. After that, Store Care covers your small changes every month.
